Japan Solar + Energy Storage Congress 2018, is the largest congress focusing on solar and energy storage market in Japan. It will take place in Osaka Japan, on 29-30 October, 2018, which gathers Utilities, Developers, Network Providers, R&D, Policy Makers, Renewable Energy System Providers, Manufactures, Energy Storage Solution Providers, Contractors, Designers, Installers to discuss the development of solar & energy storage.

Brendan previously managed commercial market development for SolarCity, a solar leasing and installation company, recently acquired by Tesla. Brendan began his career in finance, eventually serving as a vice president for Daiwa SMBC, a Japanese investment bank. He later advised on energy and national security issues while at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. and the International Energy Forum (IEF) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Tetsunari Iida is a leading authority on Renewable Energy, and a “Social Innovator” who has introduced Ecological Initiatives as Executive Director of the Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies (ISEP), a Non-profit and Independent Research Institute. As a Committee Member for METI and MoE, he has proposed Nuclear-free energy policies, as well as Community-based RE Projects in Japan as Secretary-General of the Japan Community Power Association.
He played a central role as co-chair of the executive committee for the “1st World Community Power Conference” which was held in Fukushima city on November 3-4, 2016. The conference was the product of the joint efforts of ISEP, the Japan Community Power Association and the World Wind Energy Association. At the conference, Iida received the World Wind Energy Honorary Award 2016 for extraordinary personal achievements for his promotion of community power.

Dr. Zhifeng Liu was graduated from the Physics Department, Nanjing University, 2011. He had undertaken two national natural science fund projects and published many papers in leading international publications such as JAP. He had presided over several projects such as low cost high efficiency multi-crystalline solar cell and IBC cells with efficiency over 23% and so on. He had obtained 12 invention patents and several provincial awards. He is currently the General Manager of Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology Co., Ltd., fully responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the N-type bifacial solar cell production lines. Under his leadership, the team had increased mass production efficiency to over 21.5% in a short period. He also leads the R&D team to implement the efficiency of N-type TOPCon and IBC solar cells to 23.05% and 23.16%, respectively. He creatively introduced floating busbar structure into IBC cells, which greatly reduces the difficulty of welding. This design makes IBC module encapsulation no longer dependent on high-cost conductive backsheets, improving the manufacturability of IBC technology.

In this capacity, Franck provided strategic advice to AES in its solar IPP business between 2007 and 2009 as well as various oil and gas and utility companies.
